After about half an hour of continuous flying, Casey and Rob arrived at a grassy plain and they decided to land a few yards into the new geography. It was also starting to get a little windy at that. Oh, and cold. Thankfully, Casey's a bit bundled up with the layers he's wearing and his cape and Rob should be fine with his trench coat.

"Did that breeze just feel like an ice cube to you, Rob?"

"Da. It almost felt like winter nights in Moscow. But... why is the grass so green..." Rob knelt down a bit to see what the grass was. It certainly seemed like normal grass back home. But with the air cold like this, why was this so luscious in color? The gunner plucked it off the ground to get a closer look. As soon as he did that, however, it started to burn the ungloved portion of his hand. He immediately made a hissing noise to indicate pain and quickly dusted the residue away from his hands.

Casey, in the mean time, was checking out the area finding anything that resembles life until he heard the hiss from Rob, feeling his pain. "Rob! What's the matter?"

"I do not think the grass liked me very much," he joked a bit. "I think the grass is poison, which might explain why it is so green in color and---" Rob was interrupted and Casey immediately healed the poisoned and acid-eroded hand. "Casey, you did not need to---"

Casey interrupted him again, "Look, I don't know what we're dealing with here. Much less where we are. I'd rather not take a chance at us being even slightly injured while we try to find a way out of here. Besides..."

Rob blinked twice, confused at the addendum. "Besides...?"

"I feel responsible for being so caught up with the stuff about Mot. That night, I insisted that we keep our eyes peeled while we were down that ridge. If I didn't, we wouldn't be in this mess right now..."

"Do not blame yourself for that. If I was truly against the idea, you know I would have said so. I was curious myself and find out if it really was Mot that was under the ground all this time... Besides, I do not think Earl and Candice would blame you for your dedication."

"I guess..." Casey said feeling defeated because he was given an argument about him taking full responsibility but he also felt relieved that he wasn't blamed for it. "Well, no more plucking the grass for you. We need to move. There might be something here that'll lead us to Earl or Candice." Rob nodded and they both stood back up and began exploring the grassy area.

Before they knew it, clouds began to roll in and it only began to get colder. The overall atmosphere of the place they arrived to was still sort of creepy, however. The opacity of the clouds made the two moons in the horizon still visible, albeit having a darker shade to it.

Not only that... it was snowing. It would only be a matter of time before they would notice this. The temperature would continue to drop.

"I guess you'd be right about those Moscow winter nights, Rob..." It would be here where Casey would finally feel how cold it really was. They needed to find shelter. And fast.

There would be another hissing sound from Rob. It would seem like he caught some snowfall in hand and it began to erode his fingers. He would make light of the situation before commenting. "Eheheh... It would seem like the snow does not like me either, Casey..."

The red head's eyes widened as he rushed back to Rob and healed his hand again, and Casey created a spherical barrier around himself. It covered enough area that it would also keep Rob safe from the acidic snowfall. "You really gotta stop doing that, Rob."

"I am sorry, Casey. I did not mean to---"

"I know, Rob. I was kidding. Now let's move. We gotta find Earl and Candice before it gets anymore---" As soon as both Casey and Rob took one more step, the ground they stood upon then began to crumble. As they fell, their backs slammed on the ground as they seemed to slide down a dark passageway. Neither Casey nor Rob could concentrate hard enough to float up and fly. It actually took awhile when they stopped falling and landed. Oof.

"Ow... Umm... Casey?"

Groaning from the fall and pain, he responded. "Yeah...?"

"Where... did that come from..?"

"Augh... I don't know... God damn my back... Stand closer to me, Rob." When Rob approached Casey, he lifted his hands up and cast an area regenerating spell. "There..."

"Spasiba."

"No worries. But.. how far did we fall down... And where are we now..?" Again, more questions than there are answers.

"And I can barely see anything..." It was definitely darker in here since they're pretty much underground now but a little bit ahead of them, Rob could see something blue and it was fairly dim. "This way..." Casey then followed and approached that blue light. As they did, something pinged in Casey.

"...I suddenly feel a great presence of magic, Rob."

"Is it Earl and Candice?"

"No. Well... I don't know... This place is kind of screwing with my magic senses. Might explain why I didn't make that ahriman disintegrate earlier."

"...Ahree man?"

Then Casey just shook his head. "Never mind... Let's just keep going."

They finally approached that dim light to find some sort of crystal stuck to the wall as it made a sharp corner turn to the left. They both examined the blue-lit crystal with careful curiosity. Casey noticed that he and Rob seemed considerably calmer now with this light. They turned to that corner and found a bigger room with more of these blue-lit crystals. Casey sensed a considerably increased amount of magic in the area as they went further in.

"These crystals... I'm almost positive that these are emitting some sort of magic energy. I feel more calm somehow. And more at peace," Casey told Rob.

Rob agreed and nodded, "I agree... Though this still begs the question of where we are and what this place is..." The further they went into this room, the more familiar this felt to both Casey and Rob. "Casey... does any of this... feel familiar to you?"

"Y-yeah..." Casey hesitantly answered as he examined yet another blue-lit crystal. "...Have you been down Oranbega before?"

"Da... And I am not sure if I like it..." Sure it felt familiar to both of them, but it was still a little unsettling. Just then, they both heard two loud but distant screams at the same time. And it was obvious that one scream was male, and the other was female. Their eyes widened at the noise and looked at the direction it came from. It was in front of them.

"Casey!"

"Yeah. We need to go. Now." Casey and Rob wasted no time and flew to the direction of the screams.
