[Centershock] - Informal Introductions

A kid from the good side of town who hung out on the bad side of town.
A high school dropout.
Yeah, that's me.
I got exposed to just about everything bad you can imagine on the streets. Violence. Drugs. Running from the law. There was one thing none of the street gangs knew about when I was kicking it with them.
I was faster than they were. A *lot* faster. I escaped arrest. I escaped deals gone bad. I escaped bounties going for my head. I escaped identity, as I knew better than to give them my actual name.
Eventually, everything caught up to me. All the gangs and street rats I betrayed, all the deals I broke off, all the cops I outran, my life gave me the biggest middle finger of all time.
Maybe I should be glad that my father's a doctor and refused to take me to Metro General or Ellsworth. This was when he told me something that I've already known all along.
I was, and am, a meta-human. And my father made me realize that I either needed to turn my life around, or I was gonna be found dead.
As someone who failed two years of high school, I was gonna make that change.
As someone who never misses his mark and as someone who can run as fast as the speed of sound? I was gonna make that change.
As someone who could conduct an indeterminable amount of electricity through him? I was gonna make that change.
Metropolis didn't have a speedster like Central and Keystone City did. It was time I changed that.
As someone who never misses his target and leaves an electric mark? I am Centershock.
